Interior Design Trends for 2020
As we begin this new year there will be new trends to welcome as well. This is especially true in the design world. Pantone has selected what they believe will be “the” color of the year, “Classic Blue”. Many interior designers are also chiming in with their personal picks regarding what will be popular this year and what will be on the way out.
Timothy Corrigan is seeing a shift towards brighter and clearer colors and away from the grey-beige look. Luxury and comfort will be important, and more of the younger set are gravitating towards antiques to give their spaces more individuality.
Roman and Williams designer Robin Standefer is a big fan of using natural materials which give “a richness and variation that is unexpected.” Natural wood, stone, slate, and alloys can all achieve this effect when used in the home.
Wallpaper continues to be a popular choice for expressing oneself in a bold and easy way. Lastly, the color green is seeing a resurgence. It can bring a touch of nature and freshness into any room.
We at Jane Synnestvedt Design continue to embrace classic design elements as well as introducing newer trends into our projects. Our focus is always on keeping our client’s desires in mind to achieve the look that they want in their home.
